Cameron + Lindsey | Greenville SC Wedding Photographer

Recently I was excited and honored to photograph another one of my high school senior’s weddings! We have known Cameron and his family for over 5 years  and are thankful they are a part of our church!  I have enjoyed getting to know his beautiful bride Lindsey and look forward to getting to know her even better. It was also an honor to co-shoot this weeding with my dear friend and amazing photographer Erin Drago of Erin Drago Photography! We always have so much fun together and this wedding was no exception. Below is a compilation of both of our images all in one BIG post. We each decided to pick out our personal favorites from the day and then separately post them. I can’t wait to check out Erin’s favorites on her blog!

Erin and I  agree that this first look was one of our favorites ever!!! As the bride was getting ready, we acted it out in front of her to see her reaction. Well, she cried, you know happy tears, and we knew this was perfect for them!!!  I could go on and on about the advantages of a first look, but that is for another post.  As Cameron and Lindsey held hands before seeing each other you could just feel the anticipation building!!! And I believe the images below show this anticipation quite well!!! =) It was so much fun to witness and capture! They were so excited about getting married.

As you can see below the wedding party was a blast to photograph as well. =) The entire wedding day was a true celebration of our Father’s love for us and His sovereign care!! It was a perfect day!!! Thank you Cameron and Lindsey for entrusting us to document your wedding day!! We love you both!

Ern + Candace | Wedding Day Part 1 of 2 | Simpsonville SC Wedding Photographer

Candace contacted us back in November and asked if we could photograph her wedding!  We met at Starbucks to discuss the details and I knew right away that this would be a fun wedding!  I warned them several times that it would be very, very hot.  Aren’t most July weddings very, very HOT??!!!  Well, July 16th greeted us with 60 degree weather and it did not get out of the 70′s all day!!!  There was a nice little breeze too!  Absolutely dream wedding weather!!!  We also discussed the “first look”.  They said they would discuss it and get back to me.  Within in a few weeks she said they wanted to go for it!  It was a very sweet, smooth first look.  As I have mentioned before first looks can make the whole day run smoother and several say that it has made them able to relax and enjoy the rest of the day!  Another new thing we decided to do was to take the bridal portraits on the wedding day!!!  If you want a picture at the reception you can use an engagement picture of the 2 of you!!  I will recommend this now to all brides.

We started the day out at Dallas Skye Salon and Spa here in Greenville SC.  They really were amazing!!!!  Candace’s hair was absolutely gorgeous….I LOVED the style they choice and her make-up was perfect!  All brides need to check this salon out!  As you will see in post 2 the reception took place at THE LOOM of Simpsonville SC.  This was my 3rd wedding there and it just gets better and better!!!  A very special thank you to my 2nd shooter Erin Drago of Erin Drago Photography!!!  I love working together!! =)

Congratulations Ern and Candace!!! Thanks for allowing us to capture your wedding day!!!

I love the 2 pictures below that Erin took.  Having a second shooter during the first look is pretty important!!!  And she nailed it!

Ern + Candace | Wedding Day Part 2 | Simpsonville SC Wedding Photographer

It was a beautiful wedding ceremony!  The reception was at The LOOM  of Simpsonville SC!!!  They have added so many new things and it is a perfect venue for a wedding/reception!   The food was catered by Gigi’s Cafe and Catering and it was simply amazing and beautiful!!!  Highly, highly recommend them.  The Total Package Band did a great job with all the music!  It was a very fun reception!!!

Ern + Candace | Wedding Teaser | Simpsonville SC Wedding Photographer

A July wedding is suppose to be really, really hot!!!!  Well, this wedding in July was around 78 degrees with a light breeze!  Simply Wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Congratulations Ern and Candace!!!  Hope you are enjoying your honeymoon! =)

2 Weddings ~ 2 Amazing Venues ~ 1 Post | Asheville NC and Greenville SC Wedding Photographer

The first wedding below has been waiting in my blog drafts for quite some time! About 8 months ago I had the awesome privilege of second shooting for Rachel Hughes at an amazing venue near Asheville NC called The Farm.  We shot another wedding together just a few weeks ago at The Westin Poinsett Greenville SC.

Rachel Hughes photographs 15+ weddings a year.  I so enjoyed watching her in action!  Thanks for asking me to second shoot for you.

The first wedding I will share was at The Farm!  LOVE outdoor weddings and The Farm is an amazing venue!!!  So many amazing spots to photograph!

The second wedding took place at a church in Greenville SC.  We went downtown to Fall’s Park for group shots and then off to The Westin Poinsett for the reception.

Enjoy just a few of the pictures from each! =)

In memory of her father, the bride asked the florist to incorporate his watch into her bouquet!  I love this idea!

George + Danielle’s Wedding | Greenville SC Wedding Photographer

George and Danielle wanted a fun, creative yet simple wedding! It was PERFECT!  They were willing to try anything!  When they heard about the first glance (this is when the bride and groom see each other before the wedding), they wanted to go for it.  I totally recommend this first glance to all bride and grooms.  Instead of seeing each other for the first time on your wedding day in front of 150+ people, you get to see each other alone…well, not quite along…there are two photographers there, reminding you to, “just act as if they are not there!”  The other advantage is that you get all of your pictures done before the wedding so everyone is available to go and enjoy the reception immediately.

They did not want traditional pictures at the church, so a sweet friend allowed us to use their property 3 miles from the church.  Dogwoods, natural areas, trees, old coke bottles, a stick made fort and different textures allowed for fun vintage shots as well as the more traditional ones.  I personally love a mix of fun, natural shots and more traditional ones too…down the road you will appreciate the variety.

It was hard for me to wrap my mind around how just a year ago I took Danielle’s senior pictures.  You can see them here.  Less than a year later, I am taking her engagement pictures and now I am photographing her wedding.  Wow!  A lot can happen in a year.  Danielle’s family definitely prepared her well for one of the greatest callings as a woman…being a wife.  I am so excited for the two of you!  Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Rabanal!  Here are 30 pictures for you to enjoy!  Much more to come!

A special thanks to my second shooter, Erin Drago of Erin Drago Photography!  Cannot wait to see your images! =)  Loved every second of our time together!  You rock! =)

Adam & Jill | Part 1 of 2 | Greenville SC Wedding Photographer

It was a gorgeous fall day for a wedding.  Adam and Jill are now married.  I have enjoyed getting to know this sweet couple.  I met them about 3 months ago, but it seems as if I have known them for years.  Now back to their wedding day. =)  We started the day off early at Jill’s parent’s home.  Two wonderful ladies from Identity Salon came to the house and I highly recommend them to all brides.  Having someone come do your make-up and hair in house is so convenient and relaxing!  Jill’s florist, Floral Designs, did an equally amazing job.  The flowers were beautiful!  Soft pinks gave their wedding a touch of vintage. Thanks Adam and Jill for allowing me to be a part of your special day.  Hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Jill’s mom took some time to read from this little devotional book.  Very timely and encouraging words.

In the picture above Jill’s bridesmaid is helping her put on a beautiful bracelet that was Jill’s grandmothers…..”something old”.

Love all of Adam’s facial expressions.  He kept everyone laughing! =)

Adam and Jill’s parents circled around them to pray for them.  Perfect way to start a marriage. =)

Way to go to my 3rd shooter, Anna! =)  Love these shots above that she captured at the perfect time.

Adam & Jill | Part 2 of 2 | Greenville SC Wedding Photographer

As mentioned in their engagement session post, Adam and Jill are a lot of fun to photograph and so was their wedding party! =)

The reception took place at The Loom: Cotton Mill Place of  Simpsonvillle, S.C.!  A wonderful venue that is spacious and well lit.  Since the last wedding we photographed there they have added these awesome white hanging  lanterns and an arbor!  Love it!  Adam and Jill’s cake was made by Publix Bakery and it was beautiful!  Mutt’s BBQ of Mauldin S.C. provided the food and everyone enjoyed it.

Beautiful!

My 2nd shooter Erin Drago took the amazing shot above.

Jill is going to be a very cool Aunt!  I think this little one is quite smitten! =)

Love these 3 fun, creative pictures above taken by Erin.  The kids really enjoyed the “balloon guy”! =)  Great idea!

Everyone had fun playing with the balloons! =)  Some of the balloons became swords!

Mother and daughter on the left posing for a picture and Adam’s grandma on the right trying out the photo booth! =) LOVE it!

Congratulations Adam and Jill!

It was another beautiful wedding this weekend!  Fall weddings are quickly becoming a favorite!!!  Congratulations Adam and Jill! More to come soon! =)

Hyatt & Heidi Harrell | Part 1 0f 3 | Greenwood SC Wedding Photographer

We have known Hyatt since he was 12 years old.  It was such an honor to photograph his wedding.  We LOVE his family and we now love his new bride. =) It was such a beautiful wedding.  Heidi’s parents did a wonderful job preparing their home and property for this special day.  It would make for one amazing wedding venue.   The Talk of the Town of Abbeville, S.C. did a wonderful job catering this wedding.  Heidi and a few others had their make-up done at Belk and their hair done at Shear Images in Greenwood. S.C.

This wedding truly was one of the most gorgeous weddings I have ever been a part of.  Outdoor weddings are the BEST!  Lots of time and planning goes into them, but the outcome is so worth it.  Congratulations, Hyatt and Heidi!  Thanks for allowing us to capture your day!

Heidi has a wonderful mom and she now has a pretty wonderful mom-in- law too! =)  They prayed for Hyatt and Heidi right before the wedding.

Love their rings!

A 6:30 wedding in October offered perfect temperatures, but due to the sun-setting by 7 it was not ideal for formal group pictures afterward.  So, we discussed the “First Look” and they took time to think about it.  Simply put the first look allows the bride and groom to see each other before the wedding in a more intimate, natural setting. It also allows for more time to do some unique shots. Once the wedding is over you are free for a few more pictures if you would like or you can simply go straight to your reception.  I was thrilled when they opted to do this.  It was super sweet “First Look” too.  I actually had to keep myself from crying.  James and I discussed the “First Look”and this is something we would have definitely incorporated into our wedding day.

Heidi was a beautiful bride.  I love this shot of her peeking around the barn right before seeing Hyatt.

A BIG THANK YOU to my 2nd shooter Erin Drago of Erin Drago Photography. Love this sweet shot you took above. You did not miss a beat and took some amazing pictures.  Thanks for all your hard work.

Ha!  Love it!  Best man, best friends….Brothers!

Hyatt & Heidi’s Wedding | part 2 of 3 | Greenwood SC Photographer

It was a gorgeous evening wedding.  The lighting was beautiful and so was the ceremony!  Such a classy backyard wedding with a touch of  the country life.   Right when Hyatt and Heidi said, “I do” we jumped on the golf cart and headed to a field for some pictures right after sunset.  I love it when a bride and groom are willing to  go great lengths to get neat shots.  We had a lot of fun too.  These two were so excited to be married.

Hyatt’s dad performed the ceremony!  He did a great job.  Here is Heidi’s brother and dad right before the ceremony waiting  with great anticipation!

Love this shot above that Erin took.

I LOVE the sand idea in place of the unity candles.  How cool is this?

When I saw this shot I thought about the verse, “He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.” Proverbs 18:22

Hyatt & Heidi | Part 3 of 3 | Wedding Reception Greenwood SC Photographer

The reception was so much fun.  Lots of details to share.

Heidi and her dad performed a surprise dance for her mom to the song, My Girl!  Loved it!

Her father actually made this perfect dance floor across the pool.  He is an amazing dad that went out of his way to make his daughter’s wedding day extra special.

Mom and son! =) So sweet!

Eli surprised his sister Hali with a fast dance. =) So fun!

Father of the Groom and Father of the Bride.

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Hyatt Harrell!

Hyatt and Heidi Harrell | Sneak Peek | Greenwood SC Wedding Photographer

It was a perfect day, a perfect location, and a perfect couple!  This past Saturday I had the honor of capturing Hyatt and Heidi’s wedding.  The love these 2 share is very obvious!  Right after the “I DO’s” we ran off to the field on the bride’s parent’s farm to get a few shots of them just before dusk!   Heidi’s horse walked by and stopped just as I was taking this picture.  Much more to come soon!

Nick & Jessica Brown | Asheville NC Wedding Photographer

Nick and Jessica’s wedding took place on Saturday, August the 21st.  It was a drizzly kind of day, but this did not get in the way of their excitement.  We found a covered area to take some of the pictures .  Jessica was a gorgeous bride with 7 beautiful bridesmaids.   The details of this wedding were outstanding.   Loved her bouquet!  Their wedding and reception took place in Asheville NC at theColeman Center. They did a beautiful job at making this day run smoothly.  The food was catered by Carolina Allured Catering . It was amazing.

Stephen + Jessica ~ Greenville SC Wedding Photographer

Stephen and Jessica have known each other since high school.  Their love and care for one another is very evident.  It was our privilege to capture this special day for them.  From the beginning Jessica has been willing to go the extra mile to capture certain pictures and I have enjoyed every second of it.

I love the “I DO” on the bottom of her shoes.

Waiting! =)

I love his facial expressions before seeing Jessica and then after seeing her. =)

We met the wedding party in a downtown area.

Love this wall.  Stephen is now Jessica’s leader.  How cool!

The caterer and wedding director was Kristen B., the florist was Jessica B., and Jimmy B. helped with the above floral form.  Everything was simply amazing!
